There's a Recession ... isn't there?
There's that Little Britain character famous for saying, "yeah, but, no, but, yeah, but, no, but ... "This is what it's like watching business news from around the world.
British financial reporters have spent at least five years talking about the coming doom in the UK housing market. When the doom arrived it was for many reasons the doomsters had not thought about. Right answer, wrong working our maths teacher used to say!
I watched the BBC Business News from Singapore the other day and they trotted out this poor chap who said that there's probably going to be a recession. Yeah, there is a recession. Oh!, the official definition of a recession ... but, we think there will be a recession. Maybe starting in July.
